Is your online school regional accredited?
Before you go to the high school, college or university of your choice, be 100% sure your school is regional accredited. When your school is regional accredit you have nothing to worry about. National accredited school credits are accepted by other national accredited school, but not by regional accredited school. And, some employers would prefer if you have a degree from a accredited college or university. I got scam out some money about a few years ago by a school that was not regional accredited. At that time I did not know anything about regional and national accredited schools. The home school I was attended was Stratford Career Institute. So, after the representative told me that the state Louisiana does not recognized their diploma to be valid, I starting doing research about the proper accreditation of schools.
After, I gather all of the information I needed I found out that there are six regional accreditation bodies that accredits schools and colleges.
The six accreditation bodies are:
NEASC (North East Association of Schools and Colleges)
NCA (North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement)
MSA (Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges)
SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools)
WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges)
NWCCU (Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges)
I attend University of Phoenix and they are accredited by the NCA and they are a wonderful university. There are a lot of online schools and colleges that are regional accredited. You have to research and make sure that the school or college is regional accredited.
Here are a few schools that are regional accredited:
Penn Foster High School
Continental Academy (high school)
Liberty University
University of Phoenix
Baker College Online
